Saddlebrook Tennis Hopman Academy day 6 am and pm
Today was a good day I had a private 1/2 hour with Mark and he I think gave me something to think about with the forehand prep. Bring my right elbow back before dropping the head of the racquet into the loop. This I can feel and though sometimes the forehand is a bit wild when I do hit it it feels nice. Some of the other players on my court comment on hoe heavy this is making my ball. I can see more and more progress everyday. Of course the proof will be when I return to see how much of this I can actually incorporate into my game. You see that is the thing about these camps it is vital that you practice and continue to think about what you learn. So many of us myself included get discouraged at times when a shot is not working right when we are home and we forget or just ignore the lessons we learn. Like anything else new it will take some time before you can really get it to be second nature. The players today on my court have really taken a step down and I hope I will not be with them much longer. I really feel and can see I am at a difficult level. I am probably not ready for the 5.0 courts, hey they are a bunch of teaching pros on that one, nor am I as low a level as the rest of the campers, thus my problem. Today was not nearly as challenging as other days have been. Tomorrow though is another day and I am looking forwrd to it
