Saddlebrook Tennis Hopman Academy day 1 pm

Well I just got off the courts from the afternoon lesson.  Not as rigorous as the am and there are definitely part sof my body that are grateful for this.  From the one day it seems the regimen is break down and get technical with the shots in the am and try to put what we learned into more game-like situations.  John the instructor has been great so far.  He has pointed out a few items in my game that needs work and concentrating there.  Its not a complete overhaul but more of a tweak.  We will see in a week if the tweak is what I needed.  The resort itself is nice, not luxurious but definitely nice.  The rooms are clean and spacious, no complaints on that end.  I do however sense that you need to bring something to do in the evenings as my choices now seem real sparse as most folks seem to come in groups.  this is very different from the experience at Newk’s, but I am also sure this is fine for most.

Ok enough rambling for today

Saddlebrook Tennis Hopman Academy day 1 am

I arrived late last night my flight delayed and hour and a half in NYC but when I did arrive I was paged by the driver from the hotel and he was there waiting for me and the trip to the resort was nice.  So far everyone here has been great from the valets to the tennis staff.  I was greeted at 7:30 by Howard Moore the director of the adult program and then met up with the rest of the campers for morning stretches.  I was paired up with just one other camper and headed to the court with our instructor John.  It has been great and I have been to alot I mean alot of tennis camps and so far the instruction and the level of play is great.  I am on the lowest court as far as ability and being a solid 4.0 player I was pleasantly surprised by this.  Plus the two camper to one pro is a great way to start the week.  So far my forehand, which I thought was solid is the one the pros see that I am having the most trouble with.  Basically I do not prepare in time and rush through it…seem like the rest of my life huh.  Anyhow I thought I would ramble about the update and I will fill in on more in the PM now off to lunch
